Sunday March 21, in the installations of Dehesa Montenmedio, where this year more than 1,000 horses competed in the various individual equestrian disciplines, and 202 pairs in dressage, amongst then 90 Spanish nationals, was the Gran Prix Kür. Read more below...
The pair from the city of Ecija of Juan Manuel Muñoz Díaz and Fuego XII, were the winners of this with a final classification of 77.75, being a full 4.20 points ahead of the second placing pair. The music for the Kür was scored a “10”, and the owner of Fuego XII, a breeder from Ecija, Miguel Angel de Cárdenas, was called to the ring by the judges and they told him that Fuego XII was the “white Totilas”, comparing Fuego with the famous Dutch KWPN who currently holds the world scoring record in dressage. Therefore, the pair from Ecija closed their participation in the CI Montenmedio 2010 with aperformance that impressed both the judges as well as the large audience. Among the audience was Mr. Dario Fahey, an English guest of Mr. Cárdenas, who, at the end of the test said that it was like a symphony. The emotions of Mr. Cárdenas did not let him sleep when he returned to his home in Ecija. |
